A private club for people building companies in London. We meet every two weeks. Most nights are poker: two tables, sixteen players, no money on them. Some nights are whisky, cigars, or something we haven’t tried yet.

This is a club, not an event series.
The same faces come back, which is the whole point. Every application is read and vetted by hand, and most don’t get a seat. Sixteen is a hard number.
Attendance is free. Every seat is by named invitation and every application is answered either way.
No pitches.
Nobody is raising at the table and nobody is selling at it. The cards are an excuse to put sixteen people who are building something in a room with a reason to talk to each other, which is the part every other networking night gets wrong.
The eliminated table is where most of the real conversation happens.

House
18+, ID at the door. Named invitation, no plus ones, no walk ins. Drinks at the bar as normal.
Registering on Luma is the application. Every one is read by hand and answered either way, and the address goes out on approval.
Format
A no money tournament, sixteen players across two tables. Everyone starts with the same stack. Free re-entry in the first thirty minutes, so nobody crosses London to bust in ten hands. Chips are score and nothing else. They have no value, they buy nothing, and they can’t be exchanged for anything.
We deal ourselves
Shuffle machines on both tables, so nobody has to know what they’re doing. If you’ve never played, that’s genuinely fine. You’ll pick it up in two hands and the person next to you will help.
The board
Scan the code at your table to set up your profile: your name, your company, a link. Members can see who else is in the room and connect on the spot. Outside the room, only companies and stage are visible. Names stay in.
Worth absolutely nothing. Everyone will care about it enormously.
Every night feeds London’s first startup poker leaderboard. Your position carries between nights, and whoever won last carries a crown next to their name. Win consecutively and the crown stacks.
